Bob(bing) for the “Truth” On August 26, Bob Barker passed away, less than four months shy of his 100 th birthday. When the list of all-time greatest game show hosts is made, if Barker is not #1, he is not far from it. Barker hosted game shows for over 50 years. Most people know him for the 35 years he hosted “The Price is Right,” from 1972-2007. What most people DON’T know is Barker got his start as a game show host in 1956, with the show "Truth or Consequences,” something he did until 1975. It was a show where people did some crazy stuff as you can see from a few clips here: To be on the show you had to be 18 years old. Every so often, they made exceptions. My brother and sister are twins, with my brother one minute older. You will be hard-pressed to find two people more completely opposite than these two. If you didn’t know they were siblings – you would never guess that to be the case. I get in trouble for saying this, but: I am 100% sure if they were not sibl

Two Days…Four Decades By…Erik Schuman Ten years ago, today, was Monday, June 11, 2012. Big deal you may be saying. Who cares about this one random day of the year? A day approximately midway between Memorial Day and the start of Summer. THE MOST LOYAL, DEDICATED, DEVOTED FAN BASE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CARES! For it was on this day 10 years ago that “45 years of Cubs on Skates” ENDED! It was on this day 10 years ago THE LOS ANGELES KINGS WON THE STANLEY-MOTHERF*****G-CUP FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! It was on this day 10 years ago we no longer had to hear the dumbest and worst fan base of any team outside of Atlanta boast they had a Cup, and we didn’t. We did hear from this JV NHL team that plays across the street from that city’s baseball team how they got theirs, FIRST. And they are right. But knowing how that baseball team plays in “Los Angeles” while the team further North plays in Anaheim – who cares what they think. But the “fans” of a team my Kings’

Houston America…………We have a problem! By…Erik Schuman Real quick. Before I start this entry, the NCAA Basketball Tourney begins today. So, just like I did with the NFL Playoffs I am going to post my picks here for every game. And just like in the NFL, I expect to get every game right (As we all saw: Green Bay beat Tennessee in the Super Bowl – just like I said would happen!): **Gonzaga, Boise, UConn, Vermont, Alabama, Texas Tech, Michigan State, Duke (This crushes me because Duke is playing my Alma Mater, Cal State Fullerton, and as much as I would love to see us pull the shocking upset and end “Coach K’s” career – I just can’t see it happening. Sadly), Baylor, UNC, Indiana, UCLA, Va. Tech, Purdue, Murray State, Kentucky, Arizona, TCU, UAB, UT Chattanooga, Michigan, Tennessee, Loyola, Villanova, Kansas, Creighton, Iowa, Providence, Iowa State, Colgate, Miami, Auburn. **Gonzaga, UConn, Texas Tech, Duke, Baylor, Indiana, Purdue, Kentucky, Arizona, UT Chattanooga, Michigan,

1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By…Erik Schuman Real quick. Before I start this entry, two things to say: Before the NFL Playoffs began, I posted who I thought would win every game and so far, I picked every game right and that will conclude later today when the Green Bay Packers beat the Tennessee Titans and win SB LVI – just like I said they would. I know this will happen since I am perfect and never make mistakes. When the NFL added an extra week to the regular season it meant the amount of time between the “Big Game” and Valentine’s Day got even shorter. It used to be it was around a week, or so. Now V-day is the day after the “Big Game.” This means guys have less-than 24 hours to massively overpay for roses and chocolate for their wife or girlfriend. Or in some cases – both. They have to do this to make up for the fact they ignored her from before Labor Day to almost Valentine’s Day because that is how long the College/Pro Football seasons last. For most guys there is an inverse co
